"The golden deer is found in Cambodian legends. The solar character of the animal appears here, unlike other representations, in its malefic aspect. As often happens, the solar animal is related to drought; it is convenient, to obtain rain, to kill the deer, and this is the purpose of the trot dance so popular in the Angkor region. In addition, in other regions the penetration of the deer in a village announces fire. The same idea of evil deer and bringer of drought is known in ancient China. It is noted with interest that Origen makes the deer "the enemy and the serpent catcher" (ie, the enemy of evil, expressly the symbol of Christ); but the serpent is an animal of earth and water, to which the animal of heaven and fire is opposed. The deer is like the eagle, a snake-eater, an eminently favorable but bipolar sign, since it destroys with fire, and drought suffocates everything that lives on water."

The name of the songs are based on the poem "Todtnauberg", written by the Jewish-Romanian poet Paul Celan after returning from a visit to Martin Heidegger after the end of WWII. The two Spanish translations used here are from Felix Luque and Enrique Foffani.

All voice-over belong to fragments of films directed by the Soviet filmmaker Andréi Tarkovsky (Mirror, Stalker and Sacrifice). All selected fragments are about sculpting time in a dead world.

The EP was recorded at Islandia Estudio and Fusis Estudio, Córdoba, Argentina, November 2021. The recording engineers were Manuel Collado and Sebastián Palacios. The co-production, mix and master was in charge of Manuel Collado.

"El ciervo de oro se halla en las leyendas camboyanas. El carácter solar del animal aparece aquí, a diferencia de otras representaciones, en su aspecto maléfico. Como pasa a menudo, el animal solar está en relación con la sequía; conviene, para obtener lluvia, matar el ciervo, y éste es el objetivo de la danza del trote tan popular en la región-de Angkor principalmente. Por añadidura, en otras comarcas la penetración del ciervo en una aldea anuncia incendio y obliga a escapar del sitio. La misma idea de ciervo nefasto y portador de sequía se conoce en la China antigua.
